The third Webinar in the Continuum Series of Tech Tools for School Librarians on Google Classroom was held on June 7, 2020 at 4.00 pm. on Google Meet video conferencing platform. Ms. Akhila Arora, Librarian, Bal Bharti Public School, Rohini, New Delhi and Ms Mamta Maggu, Librarian Bal Bharti Public School, Noida (UP) led the online hands-on workshop. Google Classroom is a free web based service to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students. The purpose of the workshop was to make the school librarians familiarize with Google Classroom Application and discuss its possibilities to support teaching and learning in the new learning environment. As part of the workshop, the participants created virtual classrooms and learned how to use the platform effectively.
The presentation was followed by a hands-on session and supplemented by a live discussion. Ms Titiksha Goswami, Teacher Librarian, DPS, Gurugram was the moderator. Mr Sarwash Pareek, Librarian, Bharatheeya Vidyashram, Jaipur proposed vote of thanks. Feedback from the participants indicated that the workshop maintained high quality in content and delivery.
